As for 5spd cars: If anything happens to your car, insurance companies will kill your claim just because you have a remote start in it. There are kits that are specific to manual trans, install that. No shop wishing to stay in business will touch a manual unless you're using one of those kits (I can't recall the name - it's a model with GPS built in, kind of like LoJack - very expensive).
If you're going to do it, expect to do it yourself.
As a forward - anything that can be man made can be man unmade. Cheaper components (re: ebay) can be undone faster than a DEI alarm, but we're talking seconds, not minutes.
In any event, an install of a RS/CA setup can have up to 40 wires, depending on what you're installing and who the alarm is by, modules, etc. DEI makes the best stuff. I personally like Crimestopper. I've installed the CS-2016FM and CS-2015.
The absolute best, best BEST place to get info on this is:
www.the12volt.com
No offense to anyone here, but those people know what they're talking about. If you can dream it, they've done it. Go to the masters and get a thorough answer on all your questions, it's easier in the long run especially if you're thinking of doing an install on your own.

I just installed the 160 in the wife's xB. Works like a champ. And for those of you who have never done this before, be careful! and use a multi meter. if you have to ask what one of those are, have the alarm installed professionally.

I have the Clifford G5 with my 06 xB Auto and I love it. I have addded the window modules on all four windows so I can crack the window or roll down them by remote. I live in Sunny South Florida so I like to start it up first toget it cold inside. It also can have Blackjacks which is where the sensor will nitify the siren if it is tilted to a certain degree like to steal your rims! Remember Viper is made by clifford. Don't by the one with the screen keychain it breaks all the time.
