Default Scion Cam

It seems that very few people find this idea attractive, i am glad to be one of them. Last night i installed my first cam (there will likely be more). It was easier than i thought it would be. And i cant complain about the price. So for those with a way to display, check this out

Those little cams are not still pic.. they are CCD cameras. Hook em up via RCA or USB cables to your carputer and youve got yourself some rear viewage.

That particular cam is about 2" with bracket. Sells about 50-60 bucks. Nice res on it i think its 300 lines.

Next pick up a nickel... thats the size of the cams im putting in my xA. They run $50 with cables. Ive seen people actually put 3-4 in the car covering all angles, and since these buggers run very low voltage, they use them as a "surveillance" system when the car is parked. When the alarm is activated the carputer actually stores the video for later review. Or play something interesting back on Worlds Wildest Police Chases Hell.. theyre recording you, why not you to them.

Just waiting on my LCD to come in to purchase the cams. Ill post pics of those concealable little things when I get em.

Did some searching and found the exact cam I was talking about. Glad I did... its 9.99 versus 47.00 locally Shipping and handling is 25.00 hehehe. For the extra 5-10 ill get it locally in case I have any problems easier to return and such.

I have given some thought to mounting cams in the foglight ports of my xA. Or if not cams, perhaps machine guns or rocket launchers....

Looks really nice, just wondering if it points straight back or is it at an angle cause of the placement?

the camera that i have on my car is a fish eye lens. You can see eveything perfect. the cameras are cheap. you can get them for about 80-100 for a GOOD one. Don't buy the cheapie things... they will break! Any how, The screen is what is expensive. A GOOD screen will set you back 200-300 bucks. And if you do a custom molded one like mine, it may cost you more!!! If anyine in the bay area want to know of a good shop, go to www.daspotcaraudio.net That is were all of my stuff was done. You can check out my car there in the monitor section.
