Seatback Warning Label Removal
I know that some people make vinyl overlays for the warning labels on the seatback, but has anyone removed theirs? I just did. Easy mod.
They are basically just melted onto the carpet, so there will be some marks left, but I'm pretty sure the carpet will return to normal after a little while.
Just used an xacto and some pliers and they came up with a little effort. Start by cutting the center section out close to the edge of the ribbed area, the label isn't actually connected to the seat in that area. Once the center section is out, then comes the tedious part of removing the ribbed area, which is melted to the carpet. I just used the xacto to slice very shallow under that plastic and then started gently pulling up with the pliers. As you pull with the pliers, scrape the backside of the label material with the xacto to break it free from the carpet.
When all of it was off, I just brushed the carpet area with a metal bristle brush to loosen up the carpet fibers a little.
It took a little effort, but looks much better than stickers over the labels.
I did do a search and didn't find anything, so I figured I would post it up.
