As previously posted, I went for a huge shifter, but somewhat more modest than Will's:



18" of conduit, some rubbing compound, a tap, and some set screws, with a Mooneyes-logo ****. The shift throw is hilariously long. Since I took that picture, I cut off the threaded end, for a cleaner look.

still looks good, I can't imagine shifting with that thing.

It's really not bad. I actually got used to it pretty fast. Annoys the daylights out of my girlfriend, though, since I monopolize the space between the seats while shifting.
