sound quality with auxiliary input adapter for ipod
so i bought this auxiliary input adapter http://www.myradiostore.us/auxadapte...toy03-aux.html
i hooked it up with an rca to mini cable going into my ipod. it plays, but the sound quality isn't that great. there's some static that's more pronounced in some songs over others (usually ones with more bass.)
i tried next to hook it up with the belkin auto kit added on http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=149006
the auto kit has a built in amp with volume control. it helped, but it's still not as good as playing a CD directly.
is there a way to improve the quality? are all the connections between the ipod and the headunit degrading the sound quality? has anyone else tried this and had the same problem?

Well for one its and analog signal, where a cd is digital. Also it will only sound as good as the recording. Most MP3's don't have the recording quality as a cd. They are compressed files.
