U wont have a problem cuz the wood thickness needs to be added to the boxes mounting depth... so if the box is 5.75 interior and 3/4 mdf its actually 6.5

Actually, poly fill will make the box seem even larger...2x4's are key for making it smaller

I meant , that most subs that are big name brands almost always require 3/4" between the bottom of the box and the sub......

Should be any subs which have a vented pole.

MTX 9500=not vented. Motor could sit up against the back of the box.
