Default what the effff is this part?!

So the other day I was readjusting my seat, and when I pulled on the lever for the slider, I hear something metal drop and it made a sound like it was under spring tension. I looked under my seat, and found this part

It appears to be from the slider, but everything still works just fine, I looked under my seat and could not find a spot for this part.

Does anyone know what it is/ where it goes under the seat, I'd like to put it back.

it looks as if it is part of the slider. i took a pic but im terrible about getting them posted. so ill try to describe it. get a view that is looking under your seat. then go to the slider bar and follow it to one side or the other. there will be a steel "holder" that has two "D" shaped clamps that appears as if it were holding the bar in place(maybe part of the hinge). the one (clamp) in the front is more low profile then the one to the rear of the seat. the end of the part that is more squared will go the front of the seat and under the slider bar. the opposite side will rest in a notch on the inner side of the seat (that it came off of) on the "clamp" to the rear.

ps i think i got a picture to attach

hope this helps
