wiring an amp to the tc
I had this question months ago and I did not get any assistance so I spent a day di-secting my vehicle and found the best route (in my opinion) to run a power line.
1. Pop all the pins that hold the driverside wheelwell splash guard (about six I think) as well as the one screw closest to the door and it should pop out (with patience)
2. Pop the driverside doorsill as well as the piece on the inside of the doorsill.
3.Find the rubber body plug that is behind the lower portion of the splashguard just above were the screw you removed was and remove it then modify it to accomadate your size wire.
4. now the fun part!
run the wire between the battery and airbox and route it on top of the splashguard and down to the rubber plug, then fish it through the plug (use soapy water if its a tight fit) and guide it through looking into the outside (a flashlight or shoplight is useful here) sill route it to the interior of the vehicle and then from there it is smooth sailin to the back of the car.
The reson I chose this route is because I did not want to start slashin holes in my firewall.
It is quite a pain to fish the wire through the firewall with the limited work space you have under the hood.
Also oversized powerlines may introduce unwanted interference to your electrical system.
Not to mention the line looks stock installed this way and is only seen coming up next to the battery.
Whatever the case, do what you feel is best.
