I want to see what a 2.5 drop looks like before I buy Coilovers
Im looking at buying Raceland coilovers, I already have a Eibach Pro kit lowering spring kit, but I want to go lower. My current drop is 1.5 in front and 1.8 in rear.
I just wanted to see some pics of an xa that has been lowered, 2-3 inches over stock. So please post pictures!
Also is it true if you max out your coil overs that the ride will be bouncy? and if I were to drop it the full three inches (maxing out the coilovers) do you think the control arms would be hitting the struts (I hear that is a potential issue)
Thanks!

haha yea sportlines are from eibach with a 2.5 dropped, honestly if you have the money get racelands, i really want to see it on an xA because i'm saving for them. you can probably get a drop up to 3.5 inches if you remove the rear perches and helper spring.

i have hear tho that if you max out the coilover kit, your suspension will actually get bouncy since you could potentially limit the travel of the shock,
Have you heard of anything like that?

the struts and shocks should be shorter than oem. i've been reading the raceland thread for xb1 on their forum and they don't have any complaints about being too bouncy. many of them have helper spring and rear perches removed, going half an inch lower than what raceland made it to be. ride quality does go down of course. these are racelands, half the price of the average coilovers and these don't have dampening adjustment.

Yeah, good point,
one last question that i have, did you space your wheels at all, and did you roll your fenders (or do you think I would need to if i went down .2 in more front and rear from your ride height)
I really want to avoid rolling my fenders.

my rears are spaced out like 20mm I believe. my specs are 17 x 7 rims with 40 offset. i have to use 5mm spacers for the front to clear the calipers. you don't need to roll fenders. i still got like .5 inch left in the front and 1 inch in the rear left. if you get coils you won't have to worry about rubbing issues. i'm assuming to you have 17 inch rims too or else you'l have to make an adjustment in judging the drop and gap.

yeah I have 17s too, but my offset is 45,
I was thinking on a 25 mm spacer in the rear, and that would bring me out to about half way through the 1 inch lip on the rear fender, and I was thinking a 15 mm or 20mm in the front to pull them out to almost the fenders.
But Im not sure yet, id rather get the coilovers on first and then remeasure the gap for spacers.

itscurtsk, just out of curiosity, when you put on the lowering springs, did it mess up your camber? id like to drop my car 2.7 in front and 3 in the rear, and I have seen pictures of peoples alignment getting messed up.
