There is no easy practical way to do it. And the vehicle from SEMA was crap. Strictly a show car. There is one other lifted xB and it is set on an old Bronco frame. It was a sound competition vehicle.

If you search the suspension forum you will see this topic comes up about once every three months. I give legitimate answers and options just about every time.

Use SEARCH.

Im pretty sure if you know a great detail about lifting trucks & are mechanically inclined, i bet you can probably figure out a way to lift the xb without having to use a different frame. & if they do thats another product that someone might be able to make a good chunk a change off of.

Actually lifting the suspension on the xb should be pretty straight forward. Getting the power the wheels is the issue. A properly done lift would require some insubstantial drive train mods.

Spider 13 is dead on. If you want a significant lift it will take some serious fabrication and a big investment.

If you only want a couple of inches (2"or less) you can probably just have some spring spacers fabricated and not have any problems.

And "1point6" that is a crappy photoshop that has been floating around for a couple of years.

I am planning to give my xB a small (2+" ish) lift very soon, as the warranty is almost up and I already have drivetrain vibration problems.
The formula I plan to use is custom spacers in the front (OVER spring) and whatever fabrication is necessary in the rear to give about the same travel with a higher ride height.
The only problem I've found mathematically with the small lift idea is the fact that once you get into the 205 - (to 235 ) - /75/r15 size range tires even the 205's have a potential rub problem at steering lock and corner compression...
Unfortunately it seems to be difficult to get small diameter tires that are skinny on a 15" rim.
It is interesting to note that our 4:10 ratio differentials were designed to run in the bB with 185/65r15 tires instead of the 185/60r15's available stock to the U.S. market. (At least that is what I've read.)
I once had winter tires (pizza cutters) on my 86 Celica that were 185/80/r13. ( ! ) I wish I could find that in a 15" all terrain for the xB. The tire guys bi@tched about putting them on, but boy did they work. And I had a bonus inch of ground clearance just for putting them on. (over stock tires)
The tire sidewall did throw the speedo off by a couple of mph on my Celica, but looking at other SL forums it seems like we register a bit fast on the speedo and odo due to the tire sidewall difference on our factory xB's.
If you want a low-but-useful lift like I do, then tire height is almost half of it, making the stuff fit under the car without rubbing is the rest.
{EDIT} and by the way, there is no one who will ever make a lift kit for the xB just because you are crazy enough to buy it. Make your own. I think I'm the only nutwhack on this site who's thinking about raising his xB 2 + " instead of lowering it the same amount. And for me it's only 'cause it's practical.

you can do anything.. however the xb is front wheel drive... I don't think there is a production lift lift available. But $$$ will always get you what you want... personally just take a truck and lift it...

I have heard that the xb and a rav4 share the same front engine cradle and frame rails. You might be able to get a few inches right there by using rav4 front suspension parts.

No you can't. Body lifts only work with vehicles that have true frames. Typically "ladder" frames. The xB is unibody, just like 90% of modern fwd passenger cars. Body lifts are not an option for this type of vehicle.

IMHO that is no longer an xB. ^^ for starters it has leaf springs in front... We are talking about a little lift, not 44's. Spacers will work on the front, but the rear needs pieces made. It really doesn't seem like it should be so hard. I have a lifted 4x4 already, so I don't need the truck frame hanging out from under my car look... or the ladder to go with it.
