The only reason I mentioned the designers at Airlift is because I have personal experience with Bill Dermond. So I felt like I could speak without talking out of turn. And my comment about Wyotech stems from the fact that many of the people that left Airlift around the same time as Bill had a history that included that school.

I'm not bad mouthing their product or their designers. But I can state that Bill had ZERO formal training in suspension design. He wasn't an engineer. He just knew suspension. In fact, if I remember correctly his degree was in business. (A waste if my business dealings with him are any indication.) It would be interesting to know if Airlift now has an actual engineer designing their products.

Update time!

Anyhow, Larry @ Innovative made sure to take care of me. He sent out the 2 3/8"x 1/8" PTC fittings for the gauge and they got to me with no prolem.

And i think the parental issue is not an issue anymore. Just a little info on that ... my Uncle thought that what i was doing was hydrolics (lol...) so based on that assumption he talked my mom out of letting me put the stuff on. But apparently he watched a show with an s10 bagged and it had a lot of info on pneumatic suspension and that changed everything...

Anyhow, still saving for the valves and compressor (damn insurance payments)

Damn, the brackets are buy one get one free too ... but does it mean that you pay 100$ for 2 brackets and get another set free? i guess you could resell them

I don't want to run 1/2" either, if only they were 3/8"

I guess I have a question about the up keep or the care of the bag system. How often and what kind of need fixing repairs can be done? Is there a safty issue with the system one over the other? Is the Easystreet compete systemfor $1699 a good buy but first a good quality system. I have not idea? If someone is in the tampabay,fl area and knows of a shop the installs and/or sell the kit local drop me a PM. Thanks

The "Blitzluft" valves are ok... nothing spectacular, but ok. The valves are actually Herion valves that get a "Blitzluft" sticker slapped on them by FBI. They work well enough though, and a 2 for 1 deal makes the price pretty good.

I still think I would go for the SMC 3/8" though. I know it is $20 more per pair, but that would still be my preference.

I think the consensus around here is that the Airlift front struts are fine, but the rear kit is lacking. Almost everyone is choosing to purchase the Airlift front kit, but use FBI rear brackets with double convoluted air bags. And then there are mixed opinions on air management systems.

As far as maintenance, it is mostly based on the quality of your installation. As long as you buy quality products and have a quality installation you should be good to go. The most common problems are ruptured ("blown") airlines and leaking fittings. In some cases you can see ruptured air bags as well.

If you want to do things as simply as possible, you can order the Airlift (Easystreet) front kit and air management along with the FBI rear brackets and your choice of rear air bags. It might cost a little more than piecing together your air management, but you get the ease of one stop shopping.

Oh, and the $1699 price you got for the full kit is a pretty good price.

But can you bag on 18x7.5 with 215/35/18 up front and 215/40/18 in the rear?

you can bag on 20's man, you just got to do some fender work and might have to space out the wheels ...

I'm not sure but i'm sure you'd need to do some fender rolling and make sure your front wheels are facing STRAIGHT because if their turner out from the under the fenders and you dump it ... you're going to be buying new fenders >_<;

When i lived in Brandon (went to school in Tampa) i was in SD (Scion Dynasty) and at a few meets @ the Sonic's on Hillsborough there was a guy with a PW xB bagged ... i think he had 16" or 17" wheels though.

Have you heard of KAD? www.kadevelopment.com I'm in their club and they now have a chapter in Tampa that's taking off pretty well, Brandy is the Tampa chapter President. Join the forums man and we can hook you up with help (unless you're there already?)

Anyhow, i can help you out installing it and i can show you my setup once i'm done with it. At this rate i'll have the rear bagged sometime mid January and the front finished probably in early March i'm guessing.

Let me know if you need any help man. Oh i forgot to mention, i moved down south in July, i'm down in North Port now, about 1 hour drive south of Tampa but i go up there a lot still.

And heres another difference in Opinion.. Ive used just about every type of valve on the market and on my s10 the SMC valves kept crapping out on the gas where the Blitzluft held strong running 400+ PSI.

I currently Run GC Extremes and I am very happy with them. We run them on several of the clubs car as well some gas and some air and theyve been great. There about 34.99 each for 1/2.

Your problem with the SMC valves is in how you tried to use them. I would NEVER try to use them with a compressed gas.

The majority of people on this site will not be running a compressed gas air source for their pneumatic suspension. Almost every single one will be running standard compressors. And I doubt highly any of them will be pushing more than 175 psi. Hands down, SMC are the most reliable valves if you do not try to push them beyond their limits.

And that is A LOT coming from me. I used to hate SMC valves when they first hit the scene. Mostly because of the ridiculous claims people made regarding their capabilities. The reality was I saw exactly what you did. Guys would push their reliable SMC valves to 200+ PSI and they would take a crap every time.

Like I said before... Herion (Blitzluft) are "OK." Not great, not crappy. Just OK. FBI buys deep, so they can offer them at a fairly good price to the general public. There are other valves I would choose first though. Even at a higher cost. The GC probably being one of them. They are looking like they are going to be a reliable valve. And they can handle pressure better than the SMC. The other would be the Parker Skinner valves. Reliable as anything out there, and if PSI is your thing they can handle it. The only thing I have seen handle more pressure are the GC 850. Though I can not attest to their reliability. I have only seen them on hoppers, and have no idea how long they lasted.

You dont have to use it for hopping..

Theres a regulator on the end of the tank that would control how much PSI would come through.. You could set it around 150 or so and use it just like air..

The larger thanks would hold roughly 2500 PSI

On my s10 I used that along with an Air Back up system. When I had the tank valve closed It would use an air tank /w compressor for normal every day use.

I did hop my s10 but not much
