There's a thread floating around with spring rates for aftermarket and OEM springs... can't find it at the moment... but it's out there.

I'll post a link when I find it

yeah that was my thread...
I stopped adding to it await information from various manufacturers...

but they all seem to dislike giving the spring rate information, regard it as unimportant (and therefore won't look it up), or simply don't know what it is.

and yeah hotchkis has always reported that stock spring rates for xB is 160.. its where I got my number from... but lacking any other confirmation, I didn't add it to the chart

160 all the way around would seem a bit unbalanced.. but for stock who knows. Thanks guys I'll use that figure to make sure I don't overdo it when I tighten everything up.

According to Scion/Toyota the xB's stock spring rate is F:148 R:160, as a side note the Ist and bB have spring rates of F:125 R:134

I found it about 6 months ago and with all the good general info in it I added it to my Favorites.

wooow dood nice find.. it provides a lot of info on various things...
like:

the exhaust valve that opens around 3k rpms... thats probably why we experience a sudden drone with the stock muffler...

and the big RED X... for the cabin air filter... which they apparently changed their minds on including...

the xA doesn't have brake assist (what is that?), trac and vsc...

turning radius...
gear ratio...

the rear anti-roll bar built into the rear beam...

60% stiffer shocks than jdm or echo...

bB/ist spring rates

our cars have "grade logic"? really?

hmm well i'm gonna include the spring rate info...
