Default 8mm or 5/16" spacers... will they work?

Ordered my new wheels yesterday (can't wait) and they're farly high offset. I plan to get the OTG shims and also use spacers...
On Ebay several vendors sell 8mm or 5/16" aluminum spacers that according to them allow you to use the existing hub bolts... is this true for the xB? Anyone on here using 8mm? Or is it better just to stick with the 5mm?
Sorry if this particular topic has been covered already

I was just looking on the OTG site and I think I'll just get his spacers rather than the cheap ebay ones... I take it you can use the stock bolts with both (5mm & 10mm) sizes? Plus it's cool to support fellow SL'ers...

What wheels did you end up ordering?

It's a suprise
I'm doing a little summer makeover of my box and I'll be posting pics in the near future, wheels and all.

I wouldn't worry about the studs on the 5mm but i'd be wary on the 10mm. That's not leaving much thread to grab. If you need the extra spacing, I'd suggest replacing the wheel studs. There's a good write-up in the Tech Section, not nearly as difficult as I had imagined.

You know the OTG spacer shims are stackable! You just have to get longer bolts that are very easy to get at any local hardware store.
