I'm not sure why you guys didn't go with any of the wheels in the "early custom" section: http://www.custombuiltsteelwheels.co...ly_custom.html

The WS4, WS411 and the WS412 offer 4 lug applications and looks better IMHO. Yours look good, but the others offer that "old school" look it seems you were after.

They don't list 4x100 on any of those, though; just 4x4.25, 4.5 and 4.75.

Actually, none of the "early custom" wheels offered by Wheels of Steel are available in ANY 4 lug pattern. When you see "4/4.5/4.75" and the like in the listing they are referring to the lug spacing in a 5 lug pattern. The front wheel drive wheels are the only real option for 4x100. And of those the WS60 that Ctruss and Magikmanjk808 ordered are the best looking.

I believe they offer some of the "early custom" wheels in 4x4.5 becasue I am picking up a set for my 62 Ford Falcon.

That is surprising. Last time I was in there they said that they didn't offer any of their early custom wheels in a 4 lug pattern. Then again, I was talking to the girl up front and not Jeff. I learned long ago that if you wanted to discuss anything technical with someone at Wheels of Steel Jeff was the only guy you talk to.

Sorry for the lack of responces, new job with no internet.

OK, I am on Tanabe DF210 springs.

Wheels are 15x8" all around. Fronts have 5.25" backspacing or about 18mm offset. Rear wheels are 4.75" backspacing or about 5mm offset.

I just mounted up the stock tires onto the wider wheels because I wanted more stretch than the 195's would offer. Just my luck I think they look sweet!

There is no rubbing, my fenders didn't need rolling, nothing. They just fit great.

As far as handling goes..... It is not safe to corner hard when tires are stretched so if you are looking for cornering ability, I wouldn't try it with these if your tires are stretched.

ctruss, would you say you are not rubbing because of the stretch? do you think you would have some rubbing issues if you went with the 195's?

I just got an e-mail confirmation that they do indeed offer the WS4, WS411 and WS412 in 4x4.25 and 4x4.5 bolt patterns in 14x6, 14x7, 15x7, 15x8 and 15x10 fitments.

I suppose that doesn't help the xB owners though as 4.25 = 108mm and 4.5 = 114.3mm.

Well, I like the look, but if hard cornering isn't a good thing with stretched tires, I probably won't go that route.

Ok, so call me strange, but this is the most useless thing I have ever heard of. Got a set of $5000 rims and sport your steelies in the winter? Thats fine. Don't have the cash for a nice set of alloys? No problem. Spending money - real money - to make your steel wheels wider? You have got to be kidding. Tell ya what, instead of spending money on this, just give me the money, and I will spend it for you.

Well, first off... this isn't making your stock's wider. This is buying wider steel wheels with custom offset. So your little smart remark is actually totally wrong and makes you sound like a fool.

That being said, you don't like the wheels. Your choice. Just move on.

Really, it's no more useless than any other custom wheel choice. It's a different look. Not everyone will like it, but that's okay.
