apparently there is some truth to it... brake and turn signal work perfect, the second I put it into reverse it blew a fuse. a/c shut off and gauges quit working. I replaced the gauge fuse (10 amp) and got my a/c, gauges, and turn signal/brake lights back but still no reverse lamps. I have a headache and am too tired to get too far into it. I'll deal with no reverse lights til tomorrow.

KKawana.... what did your friend do to resolve this?

Wow. What the hell? Why would they not work with 2006 models? I wonder what changed?

reverted back to stock and sold them... lol

we're not sure what really happend.... cuz it worked fine on a 20min drive to the mini-mart just by my house, stoped.. picked up stuff to drink... i hopped in to his car... didnt put seat belt on...so the seat belt warning thing was blinking.... we think thats what caused it to pop..... just one 2 many lights....

replaced fuse that night.... he had it looked over... but decided to sell the lights

Due to my headache last night I didn't read the directions and did the same thing. So this morning I took the tails back out and inspected the harnesses.... sure enough the reverse hot wire on the pass. side pinched and grounded (the fuse blew the second I put it into reverse). I respliced the wire, put another heat shrink cover on and installed them the correct way with the harness inside the car. It works perfect so far, I have all functions and no blown fuses as of yet. I'll keep everyone posted as I put a few more miles on today and tomorrow.

I was going to ask if it could be an installation issue. Glad to hear that it was. Please keep us posted. I am about a week away from ordering a pair if they do work.

I will definitly keep everyone posted. And if you do end up getting them, I highly reccomend sparks. I emailed them last night at 10pm or so about the issue and I got a response first thing this morning basically saying to look for pinched wires.

I've put some miles on the car and NO problems whatsoever. Looks like it was just the pinched wire causing the problem!

Default tail light compatability

Do all tail lights fit in every XB...03, 04, 05, 06? Also, where is a good place to see alot of tailights actually on an XB? (You can't make a good decision from disembodied pictures.)

I think the dealer for some reason was giving me the run around... but i wanted to make sure. I'm actualy thinking of picking these up instead:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

or just getting the TYC dealer ones anyway. opinions?
I bought those and they are great, the LEDS are very bright and they add a big difference of look to the rear end of the car. Search around for a better deal, I got mine for EBAY for 155 shipped through K2 Motor but stay away from them.
