Any way to mod turn signals to be off when not turning?
I really wondered this because I think it would look a lot cleaner with just the white headlights and no ugly yellow lights on the side. But then they would still light up when you turn.

Sure...The easy way would be to cut the power to the parking light. The turn signals are a dual filament bulb. One filament lights up when you turn the parking lights/headlights on (this is the one you want to cut), and the other turns on when you hit the turn signal. If you cut the one, the other will still function when you hit the turn signal.

Just because you see others do it that doesn't make it legal.
Vehicles are subject to government regulations. So car lighting is regulated by the "Big Brother".

I'd put in some white, or superwhite bulbs.
While it's not technically legal here in IL to not have a set of amber up front, I doubt you'd get hassled as much for white as opposed to nothing.
