front license plate

front license plate
i see some ppl have plates on their front bumpers and some dont. i know if ya take off the front plate ya are gonna have holes. is there any way of covering the holes? or would it just be better to take it to a shop, get it covered and repainted? cause i want to move my license plate to the bottom left but i dont want to have the holes that are from where the plate is at now!
ive heard from someone that they took some compound, filled in the hole and got touch up paint to match it up with the car.
i dont know give me ya'lls opinions.
