how do you fix when one headlight is brighter than the other??
i know its not the bulb because i swap them out and still looks
the same
could it be the harness maybe??
i really need to fix this because its annoying

any help out there??

uhm...before we help you, you do know your driverside bulb is supposed to be aimed a bit lower than your passengerside bulb so they don't blind oncoming traffic right?

what i'm trying to say is that the low beams on all cars are designed to focus and aim the light created from the bulbs in the housing. the headlight housing on the passenger side is aimed higher and further than the driverside because the driverside light is closer to oncoming traffic, so it is designed to aim lower than the passengerside bulb to make sure not to dazzle oncoming cars.

this isn't a property of the bulb, it is a property of the headlight housing itself.

so i am trying to make sure that you are taking about one of your headlights being noticibly dimmer than the other one, or is it because you didn't realize that your headlights don't focus light in exactly the same pattern.

if it is the harness, you replace it, or make sure there is nothing preventing it from getting a good connection.

about how much is a replacement harness and where can i get one?

before you go trying to replace parts that might not even be the problem, why don't you take it to get diagnosed first and make sure you replace the right parts.

The reason for one dim headlight is a bad ground somewhere in the headlight harness. Follow the headlight harness to a ground or common ground, remove the bolt holding the harness to the body, clean the bolt, mating surface and ground eyelid real good and reattach harness to body.
If that don't work, time to take it to the dealership for a proper diagnosis...good luck!

It is all in the wiring diagram. If you do not have access to it, then take it to a dealer.

i have HIDS installed in my box but then when i came out with the autostart going, my drivers side light was flickering and the passenager side wasn't, i switched out the bulb thinking it was in the HID wiring system but when i wire it back to a original oem bulb still flickering any ideas?

Did you splice the HID kit into the factory harness? Do you have access to a multimeter? I can provide the wiring diagram.

no i don't access to a mulitmeter? i dont even know what that is. and i got the HID plug and play kit from oznium. i'll get a pic and show you guys what i'm talking about later tonight.

flickering is caused by a bad connection or an intermittant short (broken wire, etc...)

Found out that one dim headlight is usually a blown headlight fuse. Fixed mine when I did a yahoo search that led to club xB and the answer.
