okay so i was searching ebay for some new headlamps and i came across this picture



now i have put a yellow square around the focus of this picture for myself... WTF is that... i can't help but think thats a intake port.

am i right? does the cold air intake for the xb go that far down? and do they sell something like this?

 

yeah i think that the person was meaning for that to be an intake inlet in the bumper, kind of like race-car style. the CAI that the dealer uses goes down to about the foglight on the driver's side. so the way i see it, that is purely for aesthetics and has little functional value.
i think it's a custom job
drill a hole and garnish it with metal trim.

 

hrm, what about non dealer Cold air's how far do they go down? and surely u could put a cone that would garnish it right to the intake hehe.

I believe that is squirrel's ride he has changed his xb more times than he changes his clothes.......yes that is for the air intake

 

which intake and were did he get the duct.

Just make your own... I did mine. I did it on both sides though. I have the Injen SRI and it sits right behind the fog light blank. Here's mine.
