Default Pin stripes to cover scratch... I did it...see pics

https://www.scionlife.com/gallery/pe...bs/26497_1.jpg

Thanks for everybody tips and suggestions....$50.00 for the stripes versus $300.00 to repaint the hood due to rock chip. What do you think ?

By the way, I wanted it kind of discreet and I found this copper color and thin stripes, which I think gave the look that I was looking for and covered the scratch completely.

what?! no carbon fiber hood? jk

it looks good and if it's what you had in mind - well, all the better. if you could continue the stripes on the grill, that would look even better. and if you only have a scratch on one side, perhaps stripes on just one side would look swell.

good job - glad it worked out.

Hey, If Iwas 18 like you, maybe I would have done a carbon fiber hood or very wide stripes in just one side....but I'm 34, have a job where I need to take customers out for events and can't look too much like a kid.

hey man... no need to stoop to that level... ain't worth your time or effort...

back on topic: it looks good... simple and clean... and more importantly you got the look you were going for... i would have never guessed there was a scratch to begin with...

It was really $300 to fix a rock chip???

I have tons of them. On different body panels!

Well, yes $300.00 at a good body shop here in the Indianapolis area. A touch up would not be perfect, the solution, repaint the whole hood. Maybe you could find a another solution.....sometimes a touch up works fine, mine was small but really deep.

I really like it too, but also think it might look better if you could get it on the grill to match also.
