Default questions about smoking tail lights

i have been finding vinyl overlays around the internet for smoking tail lights, but i have also heard some negative responses about the vinyl looking bad after a while. on ebay, i found some for about 35 shipped, what is your opiion on the overlays?

and if i was to smoke my tail lights, why does everyone spray the outside of the tail, instead of removing the lense and spraying the inside of it, what is the logic behind that?

spraying them i could do for cheaper, and not have to wait for the shipping (i dont have much patience) but vinyls are removable is i was to get pulled over...

My opinion, since I have seen them up close with my own eyes, is the vinyl does degrade over time. A big plus though is you can reverse it. Not too easy w/ paint

No logic, only laziness or an inability to do a most basic task.

All that said, I sprayed the inside of mine. They are still looking great.

Sorry man...haing issues w/ my USB port and cant get pics on my computer.

I can say I used Testors brand ($4.00 at local craft store) and...I think it was 8 coats on each.

Id say go with at least 3 coats and then keep adding more until you get the depth of color you are looking for.

I did the inside of mine. It is the only method that should be considered.

Testors, have not heard of them before. I like the way nite shades turned out however a cheaper alternative would be GREAT!

i bought the sticky films. and i bought the vinyl.
the vinyl didnt fit and i couldnt squeegee any of the bubbles or creases out.
i sent them back and put the sticky films on, i still had some creases, but they arent too obv. if i had the money, i would buy the whole taillights smoked. ive seen them on ebay. but heres a pic of mine. ____ looks tight., and its a good buy.
