Smoked out headlights!

Smoked out headlights!
Alright. I love the look of the smoked headlights, but I was wondering if it hinders your lighting at night at all? Since my box is a daily driver, day and night, this is important to know.
I'm looking at buying some from Headlight Armor...
http://www.headlightarmor.com/index....ROD&ProdID=973
I'm hoping both the 30% and the 20% allows enough light through at night so I don't hit deer.
Thanks guys

Ok, I'll ask since I do not know the answer:
Are the Silverstars or HIDs plug-n-play with stock headlight units, or is it necessary to upgrade the unit before replacing lamps with Silverstars or HIDs?
I know, I know, but it has been a long time since I had time or money to put mods on a car, and back then the headlights were not something that was mod'd. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, didn't mean to jack it!
But I also have a daily driver on the other side of the state from ya, and gotta watch for those elusive whitetails when traveling. It sounds like the Silverstars with the smoke would give enough light, and it certainly is less expensive than new lights. I gotta do something, the stockies are starting to get on my nerves.
