Default For those with JDM xB Fogs

I understand that you have to do a little modification to get the JDM switch to hook up. My question is do you have to use the JDM switch or can you use a USDM switch to avoid having to hardwire it? I want to get the JDM ones but i don't care about the little light that comes in the switch. I'd rather just use the regular US switch if possible.

I don't see why you'd have to use the JDM switch - if you don't want it to light up, the US switch ought to work just fine.

the factory (non JDM) switch will work just fine to turn the foglights on and off. The switch only activates the foglight relay which then powers the foglights. Besides, JDM foglights are identical to the Scion ones - they only have more reflective surface inside. Electrically, the lights are identical.

But I'll be modifying the wire harness when I finally install my JDM fogs because I want my switch to light up and I want my foglights to turn on even when only parking lights are on.

Hey peteski how do you wire them to come on with parking lights? Do you have a diagram for that? That set up sounds ideal. Maybe i'll keep the JDM switch now.

I already have the fogs, but where can I get just the JDM switch. I'd like the light up feature.

I Second that I got HIDs in my headlamps and the fogs are totally useless, cuz i only run my HIDS at night or when its dark but i'd like to use the fogs as my daytime lights just to make sure everyone can see me.

I have a "JDM" switch with the Light-up feature if anyone is interested in trading for a USDM switch. (don't care for the light-up feature or the work that's involved in installing it.)
