Default Is Thule rack best choice for this vehicle?

Does anyone have a Thule model number for the correct rack for Gen1? I need to carry some Lumber and also would be nice to plop a Kayakan bike up there.

Suggestions? I'm on a budget and hope to find on Craigslist . I'm in BC, Canada

I've run Thule, Inno, and Yakima racks on my xB's. Inno was by far my favorite. The sturdiest mounting points, and I really liked that the bars were rectangular.

Thanks Jim. I am not familiar with Inno. I'll start scanning Craigslist I'm in Canada which does not always include all the brands you Yankees are familiar with.

I want a really beefy rack because I need to carry Lumber for work sometimes. Also, it should look really Gothic and butch at the same time. I just got my Toyota bB, which is the JDM version of the Scion.
I totally love this car. I removed the back seat and it carries a ridiculous amount of tools and baggage. But gotta put some long stuff on the roof. Thanks.

When I bought my 2006 xB(March of this year) it came with Thule racks. Only thing I noticed was I could hear wind coming in through the passenger side door. Other than that and I didn't really try to fix it because I took them off and haven't used them since.

Default Great Toy_Box!

Just wrap them up and send 'em in the mail to my little island! Photo attached of me with my new baby. Toyota BlackBerry. RHD Auto. 2003. only 70,000 km. Mint.
It's Great.

If you are going to be doing a lot of hauling, you may just want to put a tow hitch on and rent a uhaul when you need it.
https://www.uhaul.com/Trailer-Hitches/?install
Just check their tables to see which trailer your XB can tow and how much payload you can have - note the larger ones will be Zero payload
https://www.uhaul.com/Reservations/RatesTrailers/

I have a hitch on my XB mk2 and it works well for the lower weight trailers.
I did rent a large one to tow a roll of fake grass, which ended up near the weight limit and it was a bit of a handfull
Just go slow, leave lots of braking distance and they work fine

I don't work for uhaul BTW

thanks for that. Given a ton of steep hills and roadways carpeted with potholes on my island I don't think I'll go the trailer route . A friend has a very serviceable aluminum trailer that I can borrow but rather stick small quantities of Lumber onn the roof and have larger loads delivered .there are always compromises .
