well i finally finished doing mine. I used Prototype's idea and looks pretty good. I may change it later on but for now it's done.

 

Here is mine. I bought an interior trim panel clip (for a ford) at Advance Autoparts for like a dollar, and the used silicone sealer to hold it in place, the clip is barely bigger than the hole, so it isn't as noticeable:

 

I don't remember the specs exactly. Just go to lowes or something of the kind and you'll be able to pick it out. I believe its only about 1 1/2" long

Let the paint cure for at least 12hrs. Just my opinion. Freshly dried paint is to me still too soft, and will leave an inprint of your fingerprint when you go to pushing it in.
