Default Turn signal question

So I was waiting behind a car at a light today, my left front turn signal was on, but the right one was flashing too. When I turned off the signal, both turned off as expected, however when I tried the right signal, nothing happened.

It's clearly not a dead bulb, b/c it was illuminated when the left was activated.

I'm at work, so I haven't spent any time playing with it, but I was hoping someone would know what that's all about.

Thanks

Check the bulbs. I had a similar problem with a different car and it was the bulb. It was a fail safe so you could tell from inside the car when the bulb was blown.

My headlights are stock... although, everything is as it should be now. I'm going to keep an eye on it, but I think it was just a fluke.

Eyerything in the car was stock. Be sure to check front and rear signals. It only takes one bulb to make this happen.
In my car it was the rear bulb. I'm not sure though if you meant that you could see both front blinkers flashing in the reflection of the other car, or if you meant both right and left indicator lights were flashing on the inside. If it was the lights on the inside I would guess it's a bulb. If it was outside I have no idea. I've never heard or seen anything like that.

Yeah, the in-dash turn signal indicators are hard wired into the same circuit as the external bulbs (just verified this on the Electrical Diagram). So, if both sides were flashing on the outside then both green indicators in the dash would also have to be flashing.

Unless the car next to you was a UFO emitting some strange waves....
