What would a clear coat cost?
Since Ill be looking for a scion soon and so many seem to have problems with paint i figured its a good idea to drive straight to an automotive paint place and get myself a nice clear coat since toyota made some cheapo paint and clearcoat. Any idea how much a clear coat would cost?

Several places sell them. I will be getting RockBlocker on mine when I get the bumper cover repainted next month.

me either, thats why i thought i could just get a new clear coat so i wouldnt have to have something shielding the front. not to mention with those bras you have to take them off every time it rains so you dont have dirt and moisture sitting in there

get the plastic wrap... go to a auto detailing place n talk to them about the plastic sheet that goes on the front of the car... its like a thin film of plastic that protects ur car and u can barely notice it... should be a couple hundred but u protect ur paint and dont need to repaint with another clearcoat

People in this thread are confusing a front end mask with a Clear Bra.
Contact RockBlocker and they'll set you straight.

Well I have priced a repaint on the whole car. Thats not because of Scion paint but becase mine was wrecked and the body shop destroyed it with a buffer. ALL OF THE PAINT! $3,000-$4,000. I cant imagine a Clear job being much cheaper. Also contrary to what is said about the paint on Scions I was told by all of theese body shops that Toyota has some of the strongest paint made today??? But im no expert either.
