I bought my xB in Daytona Beach, Florida and it did come stock with the cruise control option already installed. I have had no problems with the cc at all. I agree with a previous poster that the cc on my xB has a nice, even accel/decel and I have never really noticed a sharp increase in engine speed while resuming CC from a previous preset unlike other cars I have owned in the past with cc..

Naw, Benadryl and I are a bad match - it's even impossible for me to sleep until it's out of my system - brain just goes on overdrive and all sorts of random and very weird things get hooked together. Very similar to the kind of hallucinations one gets from a very high fever. Impossible to be at all rational. Needless to say, I stay far away from Benadryl (Diphenhydramine).

Actually, a "normal" dose of Benadryl affects me in the same way that an overdose affects most people: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diphenh...creational_Use.

som eof the problems with the speed increaseing or decreasing may be due to the adjustment but we still haven't gotten any real info at the shop yet but that they are supposed to have notices in the mail soon

When my cruise was first installed it seemed like it surged a bit and was only used for just a few mins. This past weekend I took my first long trip and the cruise worked perfectly. I'd go as far as to say it worked as good, if not better, than any other cruise i've ever used. Very constant speed, very smooth accl/decel.

no the issue is you'll turn it on and set it, and it will not shut off or coast down, all it will do is speed up, the only way you might, and I do mean might, be able to shut it off is to turn off your engine, they've had issues where even shutting the key wouldn't reset it, and when you turn the ignition back on it comes on and throttles back up full throttle, I posted the info I got from the dealers, go check the sticky

Thanks for the info jwaj2002. I'll call the dealer tomorrow and see if mine is one of the ones affected. As it was installed within the last 3 months I wonder if I actually received one of the newer "replacement" units.

It sounds much more like an installation problem than a problem with the product. Doesn't mean the problems don't exist, just that it is not necessarily a problem from the manufacturer.
