This is one item I haven't added to my Box yet. I need to get it before road trip season begins...

Putting a Rosta cruise on is no problemo... only diff from an automatic tranny is that you have an additional disengage switch on the clutch, works the same as the one on the brake pedal..
should run you around $300 or less installed.

both of our boxes have cruise and haven't had any issues with either one.

In particular...look for the RF (radio freq) wireless switch versus the stick to mount on the steering column.

The RF switch can be mounted so that the two buttons are right under your thumb in the two O'Clock position on the steering wheel...no reaching...no guessing.

Rosta....Rocks.

The unit plus the RF Switch is online for $220 or thereabouts...some shops install for $120.

Kyle, it's nice to hear you are making good use of your salvage project. Cruise is kinda manditory. I love mine.

Does the RF switch for the cruise control need to be wired or does it operate on a self-contained battery like a garage door opener? I like the idea of having the option of mounting it away from the steering wheel itself. Who sells the Rosta unit for the best price? Thanks.

It's wireless hence the RF prefix. Not sure who has the best deal going right now. Time to go price shopping.

there is also a thread somewhere here that will tell you how to adjust the sensitivity of the servo (rostra) to get very tight tolerances relating to holding specific speed.

Yeah, pull the cover off the box where the throttle cable goes and move the #1 switch to the up position. That will raise the sensativity up so it will respond to hills much quicker.

If someone has installed the Rosta cruise control kit in a Scion xB I would appreciate some help on the wiring under the dash. Did you find it necessary to remove part of the dash to get to the ignition power to tie-in? I looked under there and all I see are the fuses because the wiring is behind the junction box where you can't see it. I looked at the schematic from the web page on page 7 and it refers to the back side of the junction box. I know removing the seat would make it easier too unless you are agile enough to bend and I am not. I would like to do the installation myself but someone who has done this might have some hints to make it easier. Thanks.

My cruise seems to hold the speed fine with the default. I don't think the installer opened the box since it still has the warranty sticker intact. I'm assuming the few extra HP from the short ram intake helps maintain a constant speed without the cruise having to adjust throttle position. Removing slack in the throttle cable and cruise control cable also helped a lot too. My installer did a sloppy job, anyone with cruise control should double check the slack in the cables.
