I make armpit farts when I see another Xb. Quickly shove my hand under my shirt and flap my elbow quickly.

Seems to get their attention.

Default wave

I've always encountered this while riding my Harley, other riders would give me the hand off to side signal. When I ride on my Honda they don't! What's up with that? I always hated "it's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand" no, really I do understand, that's why I drove a Suzuki Samurai. I don't neccessarily identify with my vehicle as being part of some group. There are so many of these cars on the road that I would get "tennis elbow" from all the waving. I like my box, but keep things in perspective. But having said that, if someone were to wave to me I would return the gesture in kind out of courtesy.

everytime i see a scion i try to see who's in it. mostly they just look at me and that's it. maybe i'm too scared to wave first.

That reminds me of my Harley AND Honda motorcycle riding friend. When he's on his Harley, he gives the proper wave...when he's on his Honda, he gives the one finger salute wave...under his handlebar.
