Default Door Lock & Handle Issues

I've got a 2006 with 120k miles. Well maintained and upkept. A few winters ago, the door lock actuators don't unlock the doors all the way. You can see the button is like 3/4 of the way up. It's an intermittent problem. It does seem to happen more in cold weather. I replaced the actuators (with the cheapest ones I could find on Rock Auto). It seemed to fix the problem temporarily. It's hard to tell with an intermittent problem.

It seems unlocking with the fob sometimes has better results than the buttons on the door.

I also replaced the battery recently.

The door handles both inside and out seem stiff too. Any insights before I replace the actuators again? I put the original actuator back in the driver's door.

Aftermarket actuators are notoriously hit or miss. (Mostly miss.) That said, the mechanism should not be stiff. I'd pull the inner door panel and see if anything is binding. I'd also get an OEM actuator.
