I could not be happier with my MPG. On average since I've gotten my xA, I get 32 on the top end, and lately it has been in the 26-29 range. I do alot of street driving, with the occassional long trek on the highway. I'm a run and gun kind of driver, because the car is just too damn much fun to drive.

But consider this: I had a Nissan Frontier before this car. I had to *baby* that truck just to squeeze out 19 MPG, and I could barely get 300 miles per tank (and that was a 19.2 gallon). When I fill up the xA, I can barely squeeze in 10.5 gallons, and I almost always get 300 miles per tank. That is also getting my 26-29 MPG. That means for less money and gas, I can go the same distance (most of the time more) I did with my truck. So for me, just getting above 25 mpg is phenominal, considering how many trucks and SUVs are out there.

well, the wheel thing yeah, and also if you're using 91 octane...don't, cause i read somewhere that it, in some cases, can actually hurt mileage.

My car is nearing 5,000 miles. I have 17"X7" rims, low profile tires, AEM CAI, TRD sport muffler, replaced the 1.75" exhaust with 2.25" pipe, run the A/C, and generally keep it below 3,000 rpms on the freeway. I also use 89 octane.

My last tank of gas got me 30 mpg.
Tank before that got me 23.5 mpg.

Go figure. *shrug*

100kg wheels? That seems way high because thats 220Lbs then. That would need to be some killer wheels. Something like 25Lb wheels & 25Lbs of rubber at each corner.

My last tank I got 27mpg. I drive the thing like it was a tank, so i guess i should have expected that. Also, the tests that determine MPG are 20-30 yrs old and are outdated. Actual MPG in a modern car is 15% lower than whatever the dealer tells you. So that 32 city 38 highway is BS.

How did they determine gas milage then? I thought these days they did like a 150 mile road trip with half being City & the other 65mph. That way they get a good city, highway & average. I know with my current car im getting better then EPA numbers.

Just had to throw my $0.02 in... I filled up today with $20.00 even, and gas is $1.95 a gallon... comes out to 10.25 gallons (guess I've got a good gallon and a half when that fuel light comes on?). I drove roughly 360 miles or so, the majority of it highway -- that's about 35 mpg!!!! I'll admit I have a lead foot, and with a car this small/fun it's hard not to race it around, but that's still awesome mileage! She just hit 4000 miles yesterday Time to take her in for her first oil change!

I'm with you, I normally hit 300 miles and drop ~9 gallons in the beast.

I have been satisfied thus far, except my first highway trip where I was stupid and was doing 80 the whole way there. On the return trip I dropped it down to 75 and could tell it wasn't eating the gas up as bad.

I'm receiving a steady 30-35mpg and that's exactly what I wanted. Compared to the typical ~20mpg in my Grand Prix I was getting, I'm loving it.

I made up a spreadsheet in excel to do the math for me, I just plug in the numbers. I really need to get it updated.

I bought the car on July 3, left for Sydney July 22. That's 19 days minus 3 days in the shop for accessories to be installed giving me 16 days. I returned from Sydney on August 12 and have been driving ever since.

It's now September 18 and I have 16+36=52 days driving. I have ~4500miles on it right now. Some people at work have been asking me about how many miles it has and gawk when I tell them that, eventually asking where the hell have I gone! "Did you DRIVE to Sydney?" haha

I just love this car, only down fall at the rate I'm going I'll hit the 100k warranty in 3-4 years rather than completing the 7 years..........
