Default Back in the fold

I made the stupid choice to sell my 2005 Scion xB a couple years ago with only 27,000 miles on it. I was the original owner... I missed it so much that I went out and grabbed a 2006 BSP with 58,000 and should have it in a week or so.

I still need to lower it, add wheels, and exhaust. Those are the key items to me. I am thinking about the H&R Sport Springs. I will probably only go to 16" wheels this time. The 17's always made me nervous with Ohio potholes. Exhaust seems like axle back is fine. Considering Borla.

Can't wait to get it.

I loved my DC i ran for 4 years, but now have a Strup. Wifie is driving the new one though, and she said she wants louder than the borla! So may go DC.

Just bought my wife a new minivan (growing family), and inherited our 2004 xB as my daily driver. It's bone stock, got a few little repairs to "make it mine" and add some features. I'll be posted a lot more in the coming weeks.

I just bought my first- a 2006 xB with a manual transmission and 53k miles.

I had dreamed of owning one of these since playing with a little yellow Tomy Bit CharG bB with my son in the early 2000s! Since then I've aquired a small collection of die-cast xB models.

I don't plan to modify this car- I think they did a good job on it, I need to keep it for 10 years of daily driving and I have a Miata as a "toy" car.

Even as a Miata owner, I find the xB to be light, fairly sporty and really fun to drive, and as a musician, I can fit a lot of gear in it. It will keep me entertained on my 20 mile backroads commute.

Got my 06 RS 3.0 last week. Automatic, 54,000 miles and super super clean! It even had the wireless headphones still in the box! Only thing I want to do is tint the front windows and find a set of stock aluminum wheels. I searched for a while til I found it and I'm glad I passed on some OK xb's to get what I really wanted.

NVGreen, Congrats on the new 'box.' I bought my 1st one just a few weeks ago on April 26th. I also bought some steel wheels & wide white wall tires because I'm going 'old school' with mine. I'm going to get rid of my stock wheels & tires because I have no where to store them if you are interested. Breezer

Default 2005 XB

I bought my 2005 BOP XB on my birthday, April 26th. My present to me from me; LOL. I'm going to mod it as a Woody Wagon with that 'old school' look. I've already got my wheels. Overlook the dorky text on the pics, but I'm working on a progress scrapbook. Breezier

Bought one yesterday, the fourth one I looked at. Very clean, 72k miles, one middle aged owner, seemed well cared for. $8000. White, 5 speed, couple of minor mods that I think were from the dealer, such as Poison Series wheels and a short throw shifter that says TRD on the ****. I really like the wheels, they look like Volk Challenge wheels. Very nice and clean and light looking, in a natural aluminum finish.

I'm going to put the Hankook RS-3 tires on 6UL wheels that I have on my Miata on the Box and autocross it on Sunday, if they'll let me. I've heard some groups won't let them run because they are tippy.

I don't plan on doing many mods to the xB, it's going to be my daily, so I don't want to mess with it too much. I might go for a classic rally look with some driving lights and other small touches, and I'll probably remove all the skirts and air dams because I like a simple and utilitarian look, but that's about it.

I drove it around on some twisty back roads a bit today - not too shabby.

Just got an 05 on 1/17 and couldn't be happier. Our local taxi service uses xB's, and I was a driver for them for 3 years, so I knew that I loved them. But owning one is a whole different experience. I've already switched out the stock stereo for a Pioneer FH-700BT, which cleared the whole "how am I gonna listen to my iPod and have hands free phone use" problem RIGHT up... I'm also considering new speakers and *maybe* a small amp/sub, but I'm still looking for the right fit.

Anyway, yeah.. Crazy happy about finally owning my own 1st gen xB.

Sounds nice. It's occurred to me that the xB would make a good taxi - nimble, roomy, good mileage, reliable, - but I've never seen one.

They use Gen2 xB's out here in NoVa as taxi's.

Well I had a tC back in 05-08 and have had many cars and since I'm in Japan now...I've had an RX7 FC, Honda Fit, R32 GTR, and a Toyota Opa as my parts getter. I now have a bB (yes JDM!) and a Toyota Aristo (of course it has a twin turbo 2JZ from the factory!) Nothing done to the bB yet other than some headlights. Some work will be done to it eventually...more focused on my aristo of course.
