Default My Car Crashed

So its snowing a bit here in Boston. Not so bad that I couldnt drive normally home. Well I get to my house, and decide to go in backwards so that its easier to get out in the morning. I get going and I just start slipping everywhere and spinning tires because the beginning of my 100ft driveway is on an incline. It didnt look like much in terms of snow but I guess it was enough to make it slippery.

So I decide to get my dad and ask him to push me. I put the car in Park, engage the parking brake and get out. I hear some rattling type noises, and think to myself "thats wierd."

Then the car just starts sliding down my driveway and crashes into the mound of snow in front of my neighbors yard. It made a nasty crash sound but after I got the car in the driveway, it looks like only the side grille pieces popped out. I actually thought it was pretty funny and laughed about it with my dad when i got inside. I hope Im still laughing tomorrow when I can inspect the lip for any damage in the light.

Needless to say, my car crashed on its own...

I truly hope that not only the visual stuff is ok but your transmission if it was in park when it slid. I really wish you the best of luck.

yeah Im not too worried. Driving in the snow, cars tend to slide around abit. I have my rims on since I thought it wouldnt snow anymore. The rim tires suck in the snow which is why I use the stockers.

the car just lost its grip on the snow and slid about 10-15 into the snow "bank" in front.

This revolving weather sucks. It was 60 in december, now its snowing in march. it was 60 last week, then dropped back down to 10-20's.

I hope there i no damage, and the car didnt gain much momentum since its only a slight incline. It didnt look like much snow but I guess it was enough to make low-pros lose traction.

You get positive cool points for a car with autopilot, but negative safety points for one that drives into stationary objects.

Seriously, though...I hope it turns out okay, dude...I ended up with significant damage from a snowbank this winter. =6

I backed into a snowbank at maybe 5 mph and all the bolts just shattered right through their housings. So my box is a little less square and a little more...uh...rhombus-like.

Mind you, this was when it was FIFTEEN BELOW at the time (Hi! Chicago! Winter!), so the bank was probably a bit denser than the one you just had a run-in with, but still, here I am....

...cutting off Hummer H2's and slamming on the brakes. ;) C'MOOOONNNN, SOCCER MOM...DADDY NEEDS A NEW REAR BUMPER!

Take care!

so I checked for damage. no clips look broken, the bumper seemed fine, BUT...

I have the tiniest crack in my lip. It like a 1/4" long and its right where the lip curves up towards the center of the lip. Its prob going to eat at me for awhile until I foget about it. At least it was only the front lip which can be replaced or repainted in a few years when the battle scars are more prevalent.
