I used to throw the p0456 code every now and then...would always just tighten the gas cap and clear the code then a few months back the car gave up on the p0456 and started throwing the p0012 code. Started throwing this code almost everyday so I changed my Oil control Valve (ran me $160 from the dealer); I metered the old one and it read 9.2 ohms repair manual says it has to be between 6.9 and 7.9 ohms...went 2 days without a code coming in Then after filling the tank the code came in three times before clearing the codes I re-tightened the gas cap and have now been another two days code free

I pulled the poo12 code at 60k and i was lucky that it fell within the warranty. I'm just worried that they will pop up again. Why hasn't there been a recall? This is insane!

108k miles on my scion xb, p0012 popped up and have an appointment with the dealership today. Will mention TSB and hopefully that'll make them stay at 1.2 labor hours. I'm in utah so hopefully they're not killer for the labor hour. Scion (toyota) has let me down by not issuing a recall on this.
