Hahahaha Mini's. . . some jackal decided to take up two parallel spaces. I pulled up and honked, and he wouldn't budge, so pulled into the half space behind him. . . I can park a minivan with only a couple inches clearance, front and rear. I half spot in an xA is cake. The Mini owner looked real ____ed, and I yelled out, "mini my ___!" Nothing agains mini's. . . just the ****** who happen to have one or any other car, for that fact.

You've obviously never been to Georgia -- same way here. He's right -- you want those jerks to be able to see you in the space.

And all those people that make fun of you have the right to. All you xB owners try to defend yourselves saying oh I payed $15,000 for this car and I get good mileage.

Well the guy in the rusty mini van got his crap for like $2,000 and is laughing at you cuz he saved about $13,000 and actually doesn't even look much uglier than ur xB.

You xB'ers experience this too?
When I'm backing up, I always think that I'm out of space, but then I get out and I realize that there's like 2-3 feet behind me... it'll take a while getting used to not having a trunk.

I can take an insult to the car but at least have something better than a bicycle to compare it to
My 10 year old cousin said, "your car is ugly, its a big box! why didn't you buy a lexus!" I was like, "shut up and go ride your bike."

Not many people make fun of it, but the people who feel the need to express their opinions usually drive ____boxes.

I'll be ready for the onslaught of laughter, as I am already laughed at all the time in my Tercel wagon.

It's worse when spring break rolls around. I get laughed at all the time by girls in their parents SUV's.

Driving freak boxes like these sure thickens your skin.

I usually deal with the haters in the easiest of ways. I just remember, the more they hate it, the more i like it.

Yesterday at the store I was walking to my xB and i noticed a HOnda elephant SLOOOOOOOOWWWLLLYY backing out of the parking spot and the ugly woman was staring at my xB.

By the time I got to my car got inside and turned it on a whole 2 minutes had passed by when the car is on and I'm ready to pull off the driver stops right in front of me, stares for 30 seconds
at me and another at 30 seconds at the car.

Me and my sister just look at each other and laugh.

That was a weird experience.

Although I haven't gotten my xB 2.0 yet, my last experience I had with an xB, I had one for a month or so. It was a White xB automatic.
There were so many times that I was driving it and people just stare at the car. I would probably get more stares than the Ferrari in the lane next to me.

There were a few times where people crossing the street passing in a car blurting "What the F@#k is that??", but that's about it.
I can only imagine what kind of looks I'd be getting driving one in YELLOW this time..

I've had a few people laugh at me/make disparaging comments. Usually laughter comes from the big, fat guy driving a lifted ford/chev with mudders (guess they come in handy on those 3 days in which it rains around here).

I haven't seen laughter yet, but I've only had the box for a week. Today I traded in the plate from my old car, and some guy at the DMV stared at the front bumper for an eternity. I could see the cogs turning very slowly.

It's me who laughs when I pull up to the gas station... I get out and fill up and am gone before the others who were there first and more often....

People where I live don't tolerate anything that isn't Chevy or Ford period. My own dad said it would look better be run over by his truck.
It's new and different and more original than the only other modded cars here. You guessed it, Honda Civic. That is Iowa's mod car of choice lol

I think it's more my family and associates that laugh..Everyone else just seems disgusted..Only select few..(including the Scion dealer guy) said it was neat or unique.

That's funny. The only people i've seen laughing at my xB are the ones that are driving beat up toilets or waiting for a bus. For the most part, I've have gotten nothing but thumbs up. I even freaked out one day sitting at a Dunkin Donuts, a couple walked in sat down and then suddenly turned to ME and asked me if I was the one driving the xB
(there were quite a few people in there, plus a there was a restaurant next door). They just kept saying how cute they thought it was and how badly they wanted to buy one. After they left...that was when I thought..."how the hell did they know I was the one driving it?" Still wondering to this day. Oh well. It was a cool feeling!!

Anyways...people can laugh and say how ugly it is all day for all I care. They are probably dropping $35. - $45 in gas to fill up their tanks...while $20 fills up mine. LOL! LOL!

the only people who will ever make fun of you or laugh, say something rude are those who are afraid of change.

This reminds me of a dingbat lady I work with who drives a Chevy Tahoe. Mind you, her husband makes enough money so that she doesn't have to work, but she has a job so she can drive an SUV because her neighbor has one. I'm not exaggerating here.

Anyway, she came in to work the other day exclaiming how she just saw the ugliest car she'd ever seen in her entire life, then she saw a billboard for it a few miles later!

She said she thought it was called a "sayance" or a "Skodan" or something like that. Then she goes on to say that it was just a box, and who in their right mind would drive a box?!?!"

I pointed it out to her that her Chevy Tahoe was nothing more than a box.

Owned.

She also thinks her SUV is safe and impervious to rolling over since it handles so well. This was also after government findings revealed that full size SUV's, including hers rolled over in 70% of the accidents they were involved in. What an idiot.

People like that should be euthanized and the Tahoe should be melted down and the steel used to make 3 smaller more practical cars.

That it how it shall be when I am king.

I was parked next to a crummy ricer outside a Bickford's (food place out in Taxachusetts)... this honda with a fart pipe, crystal tail lights (ahemlikemyboxahem), and completely smashed up front body work.

The owner, some guy my age with a backwards cap, and his girl come out of the restaurant and are getting in their car as my friend and I are going in. I hear, "Nice box," from the girl, in this real snotty tone.

Well of course she wasn't going to bash her guy's car for being a busted up hunk next to a brand new shiny xB

It will be a sad day for all if you become king

The Tahoe has its place... there are people who really need the space and pulling power of a big SUV and not to mention its off road capabilities. It is also designed for heavy duty work and isn't made of thin tin like the xB. Like I said, it has its place.
