I accually kind of kick myself for not waiting for the TC 9more power). However, I just got back from a 2 week vacation and when I got into my xA after driving my brother-in-laws truck the whole time, I relized why I bought it. It's such a fun little car. It drives like a friken skot car and I feel totaly at home in it. Plus my wife loves it, I like it, and I dont see anyof them where I am. It's the most unique Scion IMO. While I was in Cali I saw like 50 xB's and 3 xA's. Sometimes you dont always need to have the fastest car. I got the Mustang for that anyway

20k miles, all smiles. it's got enough power to pace with 90% of the cars out there and gets better gas mileage than 90% of the cars out there.

At the begining I kind of regreted to buy the xA because I liked the xB more, but after a while I started to like more the way the xA look. The xB might be a unike shape but I know that after a while it will get old. In the other hand it is rare to see an xA around here. To the people I talk to 50% like the xB and 50% hate it, but everybody that see my xA they droll and talk how unique is and how nice. I do really love my xA now.

Both xA and xB have timing chains not timing belts. From what I read on here, timing chains are better because you dont have someone checking it every 60K miles.

Yes that is true. All 1NZ-FE Engines have a timing chain. So you have years of truble free service. Now you will need to replace the serpentine (sp?) belt something like every 50k miles. Might be able to get it to last up tell 70k or longer but I would just replace it every 50k its only a few bucks to buy.

haha. i find the fact that so many people are buying xb's to be different hella funny. people wanting to be different so they buy an xb, then they become just like all those other ppl who want to be different. heheh..
