I dont know that there is NO timing gear for sure, but when I when in to have the engine/trac/vsc light problem checked they replaced the cam gear. Wouldn't have thought the box would be gear driven

The Scheduled Maintenance Guide in your glove compartment would be a good place to look. It says 60K.

Of course, it is even better to check the valves at 30K. The more frequently that any maintenance and checks are done, the better -- aside from the time and money required. The intervals in the Scheduled Maintenance Guide are what Scion thinks are needed as a minumum.

Is there a maintenance schedule online for an '05 xB? I am a new owner and won't be picking mine up till the end of the month, so I don't have access to an owner's manual.

Sajack, take a look here: http://scionlife.org/Scion_Docs/2006_Scion_SMG.pdf

That's the Maintenance guide for 2005-2006 Scions.

More docs in my sig... (Including owner's manual and repair manuals.)

by 15K miles, who isnt looking for a new set of performance tires for their car (oxymoron?) by 30, who doesnt have an intake and new exhaust? By 65, we are all tired of the car and returning it to stock (or as close as we can get) and around 70 we all get a second wind to mod again, so it starts over...

But I need to agree with the above posts... if your not laying on your back getting your hands dirty, you have wasted your life
