I think SEMA is looking for an excuse to embrace this 'new' style (even though it started about 13 years ago)
what they're asking is for an understanding of japanese style VIP, pronouced 'bippu' as opposed to DUB baller style VIP which is pronounced as an acronym.
1.) We are not looking to understand the difference between VIP, VIP Styled, "bippu", DUB, etc. We understand those distinctions. Our survey aims to collecting the opinions of enthusiasts to determine your perceptions.
2.) The vehicles presented in the survey represent many possible styles. We wanted to understand how enthusiasts react to them. Obviously some of them do not fit the concepts, but some push the boundaries and we wanted to understand how the public responds to them.
3.) We do not need an excuse to embrace the style. We are not a company trying to cash in on a popular trend. Our members represent the industry and include some of the companies that founded and propelled VIP to its current state. Our purpose is to facilitate education in order to help the industry meet the demands of the consumer.
