sputtering
Ok, so I was out last night and there was a lot of ice everywhere. well needless to say my tires were slipping. Well when I couldnt get any traction the engine would sound like a lawnmower, sputtering. It kept doing it until my front would hook up. It 's very hard to describe, but it was like, " bub-bub-bub-bub-bub..." It would do that for a while, until I could get traction. I tried to hear it when i finally hit the highway and there wasnt any ice and snw to slip on. I felt like I could still faintly hear a sputter from the exhaust, but Im not sure. Im afraid I may have damaged something in the engine, but I dont know what. Any words of advice. I may be taking it in if i still hear it. I havent taken the box out today because Im scared.

Yea, it sounds like that would be your traction control. It cuts the power out to try to help regain traction. It sometimes sounds like it is hitting a rev limiter at like 2000 rpm. BTW, what's the story behind giving the 100 hp xB's traction control and not giving the 160hp tC's traction control...I'd love to have traction control.

Did you happen to notice the TRAC light going on/off and the beeping sounds as it was going Bub.. bub... bub.. bub....??? That is what mine did when it was driven on ice and snow. You can stop it from doing that by turning the TRAC button off.
