yes i said Bb, not bB.

i have seen this car twice in the last few weeks. it caught my eye the first time as being a bigger rounded xB/bB.
it has a sign on the door that says 'bumble and bumble' or something like that.
**bumble means to move, act, or proceed clumsily. like a taxi's movements.
thats where they got Bb.
there is a taxi light on the roof that has the Bb on it. (this is what really made me look twice.)
i could not tell what kind of car it was
i did not have a camera so i miised having any proof.

the second time i saw it was last night.
i was in my xB when i pulled up to a light next to this car. again i did not have my camera. arrrghhh
i did notice it had NY plates on it and the emblem on the trunk was LTI.
a little google search found these pics (not the same car that i saw)...

We have those here in S.C. its made by a company called LTI and its called the TXII.
Pretty neat little cars. Its got the 2.4l ford diesel in it and you can check it out at www.lti.co.uk

 

i saw that car/model in black.
i saw it down by the twin towers site the first time.
then outsite the lincoln tunnel.

 

The older style London cabs look very similar to that one. That appears to be a newer model.

Here's all I saw when I was over there last, about four years ago.

Notice it says LT1 on the front plate.

It was in the movie, "Just Married", starring Ashton Kutcher, and Brittany Murphy.... the movie was a riot...

I like the Bingo. It is cute!

 

The roads are full of them over here in England, There usually driven badly by people who dont know how to drive then they charge you a fortune for the priveledge of nearly being killed. I think the LT stands for London Taxi. Not to keen on the bingo though.

*Note* It averages 29mpg in the city and 42 on the open road with the 5-speed.
Only wish i could find a dealer stateside that sells these. I would buy one on the spot....

 

Apparantly someone sells them here. We have Coastal Cab here in Myrtle Beach that uses them. I'll see if I can run one down to see where they get theirs. If i come up with something I'll post it up.

The base price in England before taxes or shiping is $44,000. I think I'll continue to plan on buying a 2006 xB!

 

I would definately try to ride in one of those taxis if I saw them, especially in Chicago or Detroit.
