Default Tanabe NF210's w/ 215/40R-18 - Will they rub?

Sorry for the noob question, but I plan on installing the NF210's in a month or so. Right now I have 215/35R-18 tires, but want to move to 40's instead. I know the NF's aren't too low and was just wondering if they'd rub with 40's. I have stock shocks, etc. and don't want any camber or rolling of fenders...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

i had the df210s with a 215/40/18 tire and hardly ever rubbed. maybe only like on full wheel lock. so i think you should be ok.

I run 215/40R/18 tires on 18x7.5 rims with a 42mm offset. I ride at about 2.5 to 3 inches drop. Only rubbing is at full lock turns right or left and is a slight rub at that (rubs on the inside wheel house forward of the struts) less drop....your springs....less rub I bet. A little less offset (40MM maybe or less) would likely not rub at lock. If the offset is too low rubbing at the fender might occur....I would guess less than 35MM or so maybe (with a 7.5 inch rim). Wheel width and offset is what makes the most difference. The physical width difference between a 215/35 and a 215/40 on the same rim is theoretically zero, so if you 35's clear well and you put 40's on the same rims the clearance will not change, though in reality a slight bit more sidewall buldge might occur....a very samll difference. You should have no clearance issues due to the 3.5% increase in diameter....remember to adjust your mileage upward by 3.5% if you want to calculate fuel mileage and remember that your speedo will read 3.5% low (60MPH indicated will actually be about 62.1 MPH).
