It's like walking a tight rope with the heat. The front doors are easier if you start with the front after removing the mirrors and the window channel. You grab it with both hands (finger and thumb) and pull the whole piece. It will stay as one piece if you work it evenly. This was a trick I learned after the first door. Then when you get to the bottom pull more upward and it will come loose from under the window trim on the bottom.

 

So, I have to remove the mirrors? I'm not so sure I wanna do this yet because if I don't like the look of it I can't go backwards. Anyone have pics of this done on a BOP??

 

Sure ya can. Just recover it with black vinyl graphic material or spray it semi gloss black with a rattle can. It looks very nice on BOP. I've seen it.

I looked at the area around the mirror and you don't need to remove the mirror because there is no tape behind it. Or at least on the 06s there isnt.
