It won't work for these reasons, of which the first is the least important:
1. The Curt xB hitch is Class I rated for 200 lbs tongue weight and your weight looks like 250 lbs.
2. The Curt Class I hitch has a 1-1/4" receiver tube, and this carrier looks like it requires a Class III 2" receiver.
3. The Curt hitch and the xB body might be OK with 200-250 lbs tongue weight and 800-1000 lbs of pull weight, but neither are made for 250 lbs trying to rock and rotate from side to side as the car bounces down the road and goes around corners.

Don't forget, if you're towing with an Auto, don't use O/D. That goes for any car, not just Scions. That gear's not made for pulling.

Not that I'm recommending that vendor, just that a quick Google brought them to the top...

Automatic xB's might well benefit from a transmission cooler, too, if that's possible- I'm completely unfamiliar with the automatic installation, so I really don't know about that...

I had one that I used to carry my 2002 Kawi ZRX 1200.I used it on my 2000 toyota tacoma 4x4 and had to use helper springs to keep the back end from sagging too much.With the helpers it only droped 1".I think even with a dirt bike it would be too much weight on the rear of the xb.

I've been towing my quad with the curt/HF combo for a year now. No probs so far. I added painted plywood to the trailer and and a wiring harness from Pep Boys. It actually works pretty damn well!!

I get up over 70 mph a little too easy sometimes and have to remember to slow down. I forget it's back there.

remember guys these little utility trailers while light bounce around a lot behind a vehicle. and if you aren't carefull and speed they can easliy bounce back and forth , up and down , could cause a jack knife , could dislodge your cargo.

make sure yous trailer tires are properly inflated for the load at hand. overinflated will lend to the bouncing , underinflated can easily lead to a tip over if you hit a turn at speed.

these same facts are true of all trailering to an extent but a tiny little short trailer even more so.

and since most are hauling dirtbike and or quads that makes a sort of high center of gravity for a trailer on 8" , 10" or 12" wheels. i'd definately modify the trailer so as that the load floor sits lower than stock. bleow the wheel's axle/center.
