warrenty?
ok... what the heck IS actually covered under our bumper to bumper warrenties?
People from scion contact me the other day asking about my buying experience and all that. I happened to ask them what things would be covered under the bumper-to-bumper warrenty.
scion guy: "Its easier that I tell you what's NOT covered"
me: "ok go ahead"
scion guy: "..."
Lacking a response I proceeded to ask him several questions, like about paint and the windows are covered (rock chip happened to me the other day), all to which he said no. It was like that commercial with the david spade (capital one?) where all they say is no.
Ok so realistically, what exactly is covered under our bumper to bumper warrenty?

Well from my understanding warranty only covers if parts of the car stop working, fall off, and other things along that line. Basically they will fix for free anything that was went bad naturally from the factory over time. not stuff in an accident. I could be wrong but that is the impression that I got.
Basically a bumper to bumper warranty covers you from manufacturers defects. A rock hitting your windshield or paint is not covered because that is not Scion's fault. Your insurance may cover the windshield from rock damage, but then you have to consider if it worth making the claim and having your rates possibly rise when it is time for renewal.
I have had my Xb for about 7 months now. I am noticing that the drivers side door handle is starting to almost sink into the door itself. When I get it all nice and clean it looks like the area around the handle is warped. I don't slam my door or anything, I am very cautious of that. Would something like this be covered under warrenty?
