Just curious. Does anybody's xB chatter while at a stop light or make any noise of any kind for that matter? Mine does. Especially when I have the lights on. I expect the engine to run a little different with the lights on because of the altenator clicking on and off, but the chattering that I am hearing doesn't seem right.

 

My car chatters - the 1NZ-FE is just a noisy little engine.

 

Yeah, when I have the lights and blower on, I do notice a lot of noise. Tonight I had the blower on III and i actually thought it was valve noise. This was while the engine was cold. I notice it most, then.

The alternator doesn't click on and off... The lights, blower, etc.. create a load on the alternator which causes the engine to strain some and that creates a rough idle...
