If I had $1 for everytime I saw an xB I'd be filthy stinking.....broke actually, I see 1 or 2 every 2 or 3 months(no seriously, the last box I saw was a TCM a few weeks ago, and the last one before that was an RS2 in mid June)

Now, if I had $1 for every tC I'd be richer than Bill Gates

I'd just repeat most of what was already said. I was the 1st one in my town. Heads turned (alot). Now 1 yr later there's more, not a lot but more. No so much head turning.

I do still have people asking me about it. In parking lots, gas stations etc. They ask me how I like it etc. To me, that translates to, "Hey, I've SEEN these things around and they're <insert: funny looking, cool, weird, neat, awesome etc.> but I haven't ever TALKED to an owner so tell me, how do you like it?"

Didn't bought the Box for it's uniqueness. Bought for it's practicality, economy, utility, and it's ability to Karve Korners. To me, it is still unique like the day I first test drove one.

Keep the uniqueness from fading. Mod, Mod, Mod. And enjoy doing it. If this is the last year for the xB, it will remain very unique. Enjoy it.

I went to northern Idaho and into Montana for the Huckle Berry Fest. I saw about 6 xB's within four days, and this was in the sticks.

Yeah, I agree some of the uniqueness is wearing off on the xB, but hey if you want unique get an xA. Why at most of the scion get togethers there is one other xA, and usually it is just one of the two that shows up.

Three xB's live in my apartment's parking lot. That's out of maybe 300 or so OTHER cars.

That makes them fairly common in this limited area - 1 percent of the vehicle population.

The xB is still very unique in this market; There is nothing else like it.

Now that there are more of them, though, the "startle factor" when someone sees one is less - they have probably seen at least one other, so they don't do the double take and stare as much.

Some still stare, some still point, but I think that is less because they don't know what the heck it is, but because there are honestly interested in the vehicle.

I especially like the reactions of pre-teen and young teen boys with their parents as they point and gesture and jabber trying to explain to their parents what they are looking at. They are obviously excited.

We are becoming more common, but are still unique.

The FACT that you can go to Parking Lot and PICK OUT 20 OTHER SCIONS ? If you can do that in ANY good size Parking Lot with a Couple of Hundred Different Cars , says that they ARE STILL UNIQUE !
And to KEEP it UNIQUE with YOU , DO THE MODZ . It can be a Work in Progress , OR a TOTALLY NEW xB to YOU with Different MODZ .
Mine 1 DAY will be a WOODY , and before , during or after I might get MOONS and/or WHITE WALLS . TO START WITH .
I just did a WAX , and that brought more looks . So this car wont take much to make it NEW and a LOOKER
PLUS , there will ALWAYS be people who LOVE or HATE the BOX , so people WILL ALWAYS LOOK for 1 reason or another .

Here in ATL I really dont see that many. In my apartment complex for example there are 5 Scions including mine... 2 xAs, a tC, and 2 xBs-- my camo, and some RS 2.0 with PA tags. When I see an xB around these parts, its either a delivery vehicle, or someone I know from the club. I went to pep boys yesterday for some RainX, and came out to see a family in the minivan parked next to me standing outside talking about my ride.

I get a lot of curious onlookers wherever I go... I very rarely ever see another xB in this part of the country.

Last week, a couple from NYC came up to Maine to visit my wife and I. He also has a yellow xB, and he & I started exchanging PM's and emails on the forum about a month ago. He had a vacation coming up and he and his wife decided to visit us... we had a great time visiting & touring the Maine coast.

One evening they were behind my wife & I, as they followed us to our house. We had to stop at a red light, and on the corner there was an outdoor cafe, and we got stares from all the customers. I heard one of the customers say, "That's it....I am gonna quit drinkin', now I'm seeing double."
