Default 2008 xB Tail Lights

Ordered some LED's that are supposedly plug-n'-play. Brand: Spyder. Did a search here and can't find an answer to the following:

Do you have to drop the bumper to install these?

Just wonderin'...

You shouldn't have to to take the rears off. Just for the headlights.

That's what I thought, but wanted to confirm. Are you just guessing or have you done the install?

Thanks,

Ronnie

Do not have to remove bumper. Here is a tech page explainging the install/removal.

I saw that on a Google search. I don't think the tail light just "slides out toward you"...the threaded posts in the back are too long and you have to tilt it to get it out, if possible. That's the part I don't get yet.

Instead of relying upon "ehow", I thought maybe someone here had done this install before. If it just slides out after removing the nuts from the the long, threaded posts, fine. It just doesn't appear to be that simple.

Nothing ever seems as simple as stated online lol. I am in the same boat as I have a set ordered and will find out how to do it the "hard way" I guess.

its pretty easy. if i remember right after removing the nuts securing it in just wiggle it a bit and pull forward. i had no idea how to do it and just went ahead and tried to install my tails and i was done in like 15 mins.

My order fell through for some reason. What brand are y'all putting on? I want the "smoke" variety.

thanks,

Ronnie
