Default 5 Axis Body Kit

I have the 5 Axis body kit and the rear is peeling away from the original bumper. Anyone else have this problem? I hope it's not a huge deal for my friends at the dealership to fix!

it was more than likely poor prep which caused the tape to fall off. take it in and have them do it right this time. no worries.

im in houston to, and i went through a similar problem with my mustang, its a combo of houston humidity/weather and maybe just a bad strip of M3

take it to a shop, or take it off clean it well with soap and water, the with rubbing alcohol. then reapply a new strip of M3 tape

Yeah, mine is doing the same thing.....I preped it correctly, but i think it was a lil to cool outside when I installed it. not with the warm nasty weather tight now, one side seems to have drooped a lil.

I wonder if some of the backing was pulled away and overspray got on the tape. I've seen a few pics where that has happened.

So what's everyone done to solve this issue? I have the same problem, I added the mud guard protector but didn;t not add another layer of tape to compensate so mine is also pulling away in the middle. I plan on using a couple of small screws (from the back) or some 5 minute epoxy..

Mud guard protector for cleaner look.

The mud guard is clean. Hows the rest of the kit holding up? Can you still fit through the car wash guide rails? Planning on getting the kit soon. Thanks.

We used an epoxy to hold the back piece on. The contact patch for the 3M tape is minimal....so we found it necessary to use something extra. Works great!

i had the same problem with mine plus my sides where doing it as well. I took it back to the dealer. They put new 3m tape on it. the tape that came with the kit is not very good. They also put a silicon strip around it so that water and dirt wont get in there and losen up the tape.

Ive had mine on there for about 8 months no problems with it, just prepped really well, alcohol pad the placement area and heat up the double side and paint on the car and kept pressure on it for a bit.
