Simple! Steel wool the reflective parts; and I used engine/hi temp white paint... They sell it at autozone/checker/wherever. Its the kind they put on engine parts and stuff...

As much as I want to do this I dont want to deal with the silicone oozing out of the edges and not putting enough and overall making it look sh*tty...

You don't have to use silicone to re-seal it. Personally, I wouldn't and haven't. I threw both halves in the oven for about 10 minutes at 200 degrees F and pressed all together as soon as it came out.
I haven't had any leaking, what so ever.

I had to re do it a few times, so on a few occasions i had to buy some more silicone once I found moisture in them. I've baked them open like 8 times. haha.

im thinking of doing this to mine.
I spray them with a special paint they sell, but lost alot of the visual lighting at nite.I say about 60% less.Looks great and sick, but cant see that well at nite.Dont really recomend people to spray it if you wanna go for the smoked look.

Well, your not supposed to paint the reflector part. The only reflective part that bounces light in the gen2's is the high beams.... Which I didn't paint... that is unless you decide to break into the projector.... which looked way to complicated!
